The Hardy Shadow is a well-rounded series of rods that caters to all angler abilities and a multitude of angling scenarios. Hardy made the Shadow series to redefine all-around performance and Sintrix Technology means that the Shadow is lighter and stronger than ever before. With a wide array of rod models, anglers can choose the Shadow to target Bonefish on the flats or Trout in skinny water. Shadow rods are defined by high performance at a moderate price-point, something all anglers can get behind.

Blank

SINTRIX 220 Technology - The blank of the Shadow sports the earliest iteration of Hardy’s Sintrix Technology. Sintrix improves rod strength and decreases rod weight for a more durable, high-performing fly rod. Sintrix provides the Shadow with easy loading capabilities and sharp recovery speeds for unparalleled performance.

Guides

SiC Stripping Guides - The stripping guides on the Shadow provide saltwater protection and low friction performance. SiC stripping guides are practical and efficient for easy stripping and casting capabilities.

Hard Chrome Single-Foot Guides - Hard chrome single-foot guides decrease the overall rod weight of the Shadow and are also highly functional. These guides are industry-accepted and time-proven.

Reel Seat

Silver Anodized Aluminum w/Uplocking Component - Bar stock 6061 aluminum with an aluminum spacer on larger models and a burl wood spacer on smaller models make the reel seat of the Shadow aesthetically appealing. The reel seat of the Shadow also holds up well over time. A double uplocking component holds reels solidly in place during days on the water.

Rod Tube

Hard Fabric-Covered Rod Tube - The Shadow comes in a flashy fabric-covered red Hardy rod tube. These tubes are ultra-durable and super stylish for functionality and purpose.

Warranty

Hardy Worldwide Extended Warranty - Hardy’s warranty covers repair or replacement of damaged, broken, or defective sections of the fly rod for the lifetime of the product. As of 4/17/2019, rods manufactured after 2002 require a $75 fee for repairs, handling, administration, and return postage.
